Making it's debut in the Fall 1997 collection, the Ellipse featuring an oval-shaped structured design. Rendered in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas, accented with natural Vachetta leather trimming and gold-tone brass hardware. The Monogram print was first introduced in the year 1896 by Georges Vuitton, the print was created to stop counterfeiters from copying the brands designs. The repeated pattern is made up of interlocking L and V initials in a serif font, and flowers inspired by Japanese and Oriental designs.
